How about some info, experience, likes, dislikes. I'm in the market for a longbow, only I don't have a lot of cash to spend. I have an opportunity to buy a thundstick III with 6 arrows. It's priced at 400.00, which is a little over my budget, but I think I can pull off. I have read some on hear and it seems as Jim is well known and liked. Just I'm new to trad stuff and not sure if it's worth that kind of money. Any kind of advise, thanks.

Jim makes excellent bows.

Be careful you could start another epidemic of "MOAB fever".

I own a TS III. This is a great bow. It is 42# (i had to go down cause of a shoulder injury), but it beats a 50# border griffon, same length, crono test.

My cousin gave me his MAG.  although I'm a recurve shooter, I have to say, its pretty darn smooth to shoot. I think that its a good deal.

I am very happy with the MOAB.  It is a great shooting bow and performs well.  I took mine for a walk on Sunday.

at the risk of being redundant, (i've mentioned this before on the site) i had to sell my MOAB about 4 years ago for economic reasons, and it made me sick. when things started picking up, i asked jim to make me another. it is the only bow that i will have that has been made for me specifically. hope this helps your decision.

i have a very special thunderstick moab and it's quality through and through.  thundersticks are aggressive r/d longbows and are definitely amongst the fastest of these hybrids that you'll find anywhere.  they are far and away closer to recurve performance than longbow.  guaranteed.

I don't have any helpful info yet, but I'm expecting my Mag soon! A question for you guys that already  have Thundersticks, what  bow quiver do you like best on this bow? I have about every quiver out there so I can find out, just getting and idea of what might work best.  And yes buy the bow! It sounds like a good deal!

BDann

I've got a MOAB, 48@30, 62" long.  It is a sweet shooting bow, and quick.  The craftsmanship is top notch as well.

As far as quivers go, I've only used a Kanati Pro on mine, and it works very well.

Jim make a great bow, they are outstanding shooters and made to last a lifetime.

I have a Great Northern on my MOAB, fits perfect

I have two thunderstick 111 bows they are awesome my little 52 lb. is my go to whitetail bow I love that bow for treestand hunting, fast and hard hitting it shoots a heavy 750 grain laminated birch arrow hard!
Luck has nothing to do with it, just Boot leather and a GWP.
