does anyone know what kind of foam most companys use to pour their quiver inserts?

I don't know what kind it is, but I replace mine with egg crate type foam and it works pretty well.

I was wondering if some of that expanding spray foam would work.  That insulation spray for filling holes and such.  I would try it but would probably make a mess.

Spray foams would not make very good quiver foam. It shreads and compresses very easy so it wont last and it sticks to everything so its a pain to remove. I found that the foam plastic pool toys work pretty good, you cut out about 10 inserts for 5.00, mount with double side tape, replace as needed.

I have used the expanding foam on my camping trailer to seal up cracks and such. Also to repair deer targets. The stuff is not very flexiable after setting up and would not last long in a quiver with broadheads.

I would say call any quiver maker and just order a piece of foam. For about $10 you can have the propper foam in your quiver with no mess.

quiver foam is called closed cell foam and is softer then great stuff you should be able to buy it in blocks or sheets at grainger or a store like that it is used in custom shipping containers at my place of bussiness so it may also be found  at shipping solution stores that build boxes and things like that but like zipper says you should be able to buy relacement exact fit stuff from the manufacturer

I got a chunk that looks like what is in my arrow master.  I was told it came from some of those pad things they sell to put on your car roof to carry canoes and such.  It cuts well witha hack saw. I just used a hunk to make the kids a couple tube quivers.  I will be watching for it this summer.

Closed cell foam cuts and shapes real good with one of them electric turkey carving knives.

I am building a simple quiver, will use native Florida flip-flop for that purpose.

A few years ago I bought a 2 inch thick foam target from wally world and use it to shape my
broadhead holders in different quivers. It can be shaped very easily with a rasp and the foam is high density and when the broadhead hole is
lubricated with vaseline it makes removal and insertion of arrows very easy, as well as helping to stop rust etc. on broadheads.
