Go for it Steve!! I'd love to shoot one made by your hand.

Did I do enough encouraging? Would it help if I said more? ...Cause I think you already know that I can...lol

I've always said you don't want to shoot a Hill unless you want to kill something. Just like the way they feel and look. Really enjoyed this post. Thanks RC. Looking forward to sharing a campfire with you someday.

Yes sir, this is my kinda thread. Completely away from the FOC, spine weight, arrow length, 6 or 16 strand string and the rest of that stuff. Just get hip deep and straight to the good stuff.

I'm on here looking for the pictures of RC's new-to-him Hill bow.

Has anyone seen it yet?

I hope he isn't waiting until later today until after he's killed a couple of hogs and a few deer long with a mess of squirrels before he posts pictures...lol

I doubt you will have to wait very long either way. A dead critter does have a way of rounding out a bow pic however.

Great thread!  I guess I'd have to agree with RC, there's just something about 'em.  Don't need to be the fastest, or the most mild mannered, or anything else.  For some, they are just the most nostalgic.  That got me anyway.  Yep, I've had the same love affair.

That last pic turned out a little blurry, but that is one of my "rehab" bow.  I built a little 40#er this Summer to try to get back in the swing of shooting trad bows again.  Been a long process, but I can say for sure that I absolutely LOVE shooting that little Hill style bow and at the end of the day that's got to be worth something  :)

SpankyNeal

Awesome pics Stan, thanks for sharing! Glad to see your making it back...best of luck!  :clapper:
