what kind of track?

do you think this is a bobcat track? it seems a little big for a house cat and hes been all over my hunting area,so whatever it is there might be more than one...maybe a fox?

the broadhead is 2 1/2 ''long x 1 1/4'' wide

I would say fox or small yote. The front of the pad pertrudes past the back of the rear toes.

A melted out tabby or a bobcat. My guesses.

Bobcat,I missed one a few days ago,hit a strand of barbed wire.You've heard the expression,quick as a cat,that thing went from 0 to gone in a blink.

Canines generally show some sign of claws in fresh snow, felines will generally not. I couldnt pick out claws so Im guessing feline but I have seen some awful large feral cats and bobcats around my area arent that much larger than a house cat.

Bottom track is dog family with nail prints like that. Top set has no nails that I can see, and appear more round, which is more cat like. All from the same string of tracks, or multiple trails? If multiple trails then it might be a bob and fox coursing through the same area. Guess at best. OOps missed the third pict and statement. So best guess is first set of picts is cat of some sort.

a guy gun hunting the area in 09 said he seen a bobcat but wasnt real sure it wasnt a house cat so he didnt shoot, he said it was about 200 hundred yds away,and had little tuffs of hair on its ears. i thought someone here would know what a bobcat track looks like, thanks for your opionons..

Fox, could be grey or red, but definitely Foxy!
Bobcat is more round, those are somewhat oval.

Fox toes aren't as narrow and pronounced with claws like a coyote, especially a grey fox. They have little bity toes that are somewhat rounded and shorter claws that are hard to see in snow. They will show up better in mud.

Just my opinion.

Well, it is kinda tough to tell just from pics and the size of bobcat and grey fox are very similar. The one in your third post says grey fox to me, but the ones in the first post is hard to tell?

Either one is a great find because they are both sneeky little buggers. I'd like to get either one with a bow, that would be a true trophy for sure!

ok, i think its a bobcat now because he had about a foot long stride, and it says a house cat only has 6-8" stride,,hmmmmm, wish i had one of those game cameras now....

Small coyote or fox . One coyote or one fox can make alot of tracks.
