First one I saw I believe belongs to Zman. Dave does a great job.

I think one of my favorite things about a Silvertip is the checkering. I'm thinking a wheelbarrow pushed to Montana would be a good trip for a bunch of my non-checkered risers?

If you don't mind. What does a checkering job cost and how long does it take?

bucksaw

This one was only $150 including return shipping. Dave received it on Dec 16th and I picked it up today. Great people to deal with.

Does Dave do the actual checkering himself.  If so,  he is more than just a talented bowyer.  That is real checkering, not like some of the chicken scratch you see on some bows.

did you have to have the riser re-sealed ?

Dave applied the finish after the checkering. The pics don't do it justice. Fine points and perfect diamonds. He did an awesome job. He will be building my next bow for sure.

WANT..

Legend has it that couldn't be done to a widow.Glad to see there is a checkered widow in exsistence.I wouldn't have another silvertip without that option.

Can we get pics of the rest of the bow?

That's awesome, I have a couple of bows the have the sure grip.

The checkering would take care of those things for good!

Asbell grip. I think the angle in the photo and the limb removed make it appear high wrist.
