64" recurve?

Where does a 64" recurve stand in the bow world. It it on the longer end of the spectrum or closer to the middle. I am hoping for a more forgiving bow. Thanks.

thats reasonably long for a recurve. i myself dont shoot that long of recurve, but then again 64 inches is all the longer i am too lol...

I have a 64" Zipper and had a 64" Brackenberry, I like the longer bows and hunted with the Zipper a bit this season. I always liked a 58" bow but shooting some longer ones I'm thinking it's not a bad thing!!

For a recuve Hunting Bow its toward the longer end.Some bowyers build 66 inchers.

I have hunted with 64 inch long curves and it was never really an issue for me as far as length.I like 64" curves.I have a longer draw.

Makes a nice length for 3-D as well.

64" is in the "pretty long" category. Between "very long" and "long". Most hunting recurves fall in either the 58" or 60" lengths; so I guess they would be the "medium" bows.

The reason I ask is because my WARF bow will end up in the 64" area. It just seems long sitting next to my Grizzly.

In the target shooting arena 64" is not long, in the hunting woods it's a little long for some. If your just shooting target and 3D 64"+ would be the ticket.

I have always enjoyed a 62" recurve. It is a great length for being a good shooter...and it'll fit in my pickup!

Just wait till you shoot it. If it's anything like my Hoyt excel riser with tradtech limbs you will gain an appreciation for it. I liked it so much I ordered a heaver set of limbs and custom string from Oliverstacy to hunt with.

I to love my 64" recurves but I have a long draw as mentioned earlier. I can shoot 60" bows but not for long get to much finger pinch. I want to hunt with what I pratice with all year.

i have a 68" pearson and a 60" samich and a 62" pearson colt. i perfer the 60" i do also have a long draw at 30" but finger pinch is not much of an issue for me. whatever size ya have that you plan on hunting with practice with it all year and get used to it. any size bow will do. i know deer arent pickey on the size of bow that shoots them.

I have a 30" draw and in general prefer the feel of the 64" recurves so I got rid of my shorter recurves for the most part and now all the newer recurve bows are 64".

i have a 62 and a 68 inch recurve i love longer bows

One thing people overlook. A 64" recurve is not really that long. I have a few 64"'s and when strung they are the same over all length as a strung 62" longbow. Here's a pic of a strung 60" Centaur standing tip to tip next to a strung 62" Tall Tines recurve. They are the same length.

I had a 64" Kohannah Kurve,it was a sweet shooter and a smooth draw.

Have A Wes Wallace Mentor 64"; I think it shoots very well.

IMO,64" is long for a recurve and in the middle for a long bow.Long for a longbow would start at 68".Iprefer 60" for recurves which is what I mainly hunt.Longbow,well I like 64" but my 7eyes which is my go to LB is 60".More depends on your DL.Longer bow for longer DL.I don't think I could take full advantage of a 64" recurve at my DL.

That's JMHO though.

I hunted with a 66in zipper for about 12 years and loved every minute. I would still be using it if my limb hadnt cracked. The extra length isnt all that noticable in my opinion

64" is a beautiful length for hunting anywhere and any place.
