Well sort of...I had some Artic blue diamond wood samples and had to try them somewhere
I've never seen blue in a bow, so I had to try it!  I don't know what to think...maybe i'll stick with normal colored woods from now on!

TSchirm

I think it looks really cool!

Cookus

I think it looks sharp as an accent and contrasts with the grey beautifully!   Nice looking and unique in a good way!

Short sight window, whats the bow's lenght.Nice little bow!

Blackhawk

I believe the color blue makes a bow faster    ...and it sure makes your bow handsome too.

Yes, the 1975 and 1976 Super Kodiaks had the gray actionwood with blue accents.  Some say it was the fastest of all Fred's SK's.  :dunno:

Thanks guys, the bow is one of the new 52" recurves I have been working on.  These bows have a narrow limb...1 3/8" at the wedge and 5/8" at the base of the tip.  It took a little while to figure out the right limb design to make sure it still had good horizontial and vertical stability, but I think i've figured it out.  I'll try to post the force draw curve later...trying to figure out how to turn it into a jpeg file???  I think if I print it and then scan it again, I can save as a pic???

Lets try this....

Keep in mind that these numbers are taken in my shop, and a probably not 100% accurate.  I use these for my own records.
These bows are also set up as I would use them for hunting...normal brace and rubber string silencers.
I have found that these little bows are way more efficient using a heavier arrow.  At 10 gpp they run about 86-88% and 9gpp only 81-83%.
I suppose that it is no mystery that a heavier arrow will absorb more of a bows energy.

I think it looks real good.  Ain't nothing wrong with blue at all.  Wifes favorite color.
