I don't think there could be much stuff more impressive than what that picture right there shows.  Royal Slam with a bow!  Royal Slam with a bow and calls you made yourself...

Heck, I am still sitting at 3/4 with a shotgun    :(

You might look at Belize for Ocellated Turkey if you want to avoid Mexico. There is a viable population but I don't know about the hunting laws there.

I have 3 of 4 with a recurve. Eastern, Rio, and Merriams but I just love turkey hunting and dont really try too hard for the slam. Osceolas are expensive and their season doesnt really fit in with seasons elsewhere. I mean I can hunt 3 states in the mid west for the same price of an Osceola hunt and kill 7 birds versus 1 Osceola. Maybe one day I will hit the lottery or something and head down to Florida but not just yet.

The "Butterball" is decended from a 6th subspecies of Wild Turkey that is most likely extinct in the wild. It was domesticated by the Aztec and transported to Europe via Spain.

I would just like to kill one Turkey very hard when 90% live on private property.

I'm not much of a "bird guy" but I'll tell you what Joey, if we can find a way to do a reasonable Ocellated hunt in Belize, I'll go along with ya' man!  They ought to be able to understand at least one of our dialects!

Benny and his wife went there once and Costa Rica once, one trip was the honeymoon, forgot which.  Anyhow, we can sneak in some monkey arrows too so there's something in it for both of us!

I've taken two easterns with a bow and mmmmmissed a great opportunity at an Osceola last year. I'm kinda glad cause if I'd have killed that bird, I'd HAVE to go get at least the other two for the easy slam.

I just went to the NWTF site and looked at the distribution map.  Geez, I've hunted FOUR of the map shades and something like 5 states without even trying.  I killed my one turkey in the white area of Mazzoura where it shows no turkeys, lol.

They are called black spanish turkeys if it is the ones I am thinking of and they look something like this.

I took my church youth group to the Chiricahua's this fall. We had Goulds walking thru camp.  Go figure.

All this turkey talk is getting me excited about turkey season, and deer season is not even over yet.
