I want to thank all of the tradgang members with all of your advice. I have shot traditional for years but did not know much about it except that my arrows flew pretty well.

I have been asking a lot of questions and yall have helped me tremendously learn a lot about something I love to do. Sometimes I must sound dumb but I have been getting all kinds of different advice from other people that do not know anything about it.

I know on here I can ask people with experience. Just wanting to say thank you for all of your help you have given me and help for my future questions.

If it is easy where is the fun. That is why I use a stick and string. The only sight I need is with my eyes.

Mudd

I'm glad that you found us and a place to get the help you need/ed.

The best way to say "thank you!" is to pay it forward.

That helps everyone.

God bless,Mudd

Rather than adding a whole new thread I'll add my "hello" here - I'm new to archery of any form, and have been lurking on the site for several weeks learning all sorts of useful things.   Its an excellent resource.

FWIW, I'm using a (cheap and cheerful) PSE (yes I know it's chinese!) one-piece 45lb recurve.  I'm slowly graduating from shooting "barn door" size objects to reasonable groups now.  I tend to pick one thing from the sight each night to practice the next day, so "cheers" from this newbie!

I second that - Thank you!
I have received a lot of info here, and chime in when I can.

I'm still a noob I guess? Been bowhunting for 26+ years, but this was my first year going trad. Been messing around with it off and on for years, but never had the courage to go full bore with it. This site and the people here have helped me more than I can explain in one post. These guys know how I feel about them cause I think I've expressed it in about every way I know how.

I try to pay it forward wherever and whenever I can.......Please do the same for another noob when you can.

If your not a complete archery addict yet.....you soon will be.
Enjoy the ride on the short bus to dementia and poverty guys!

All of Us learn something on here from time to time. It doesn't matter if Your member number is 1 or 100,000, or You been a trad archery from age 5 and now turning 90.

I have learned a lot from here talking to others or just reading what others had to say. Now I don't take it all as Gospel, But I do take something from it.

Good Luck on Your Journey & Welcome to TradGang.

You're not alone. Were it not for my tradgang family I'm not too sure I'd be into archery like I am!

The folks here have really shortened the learning curve by sharing their successes and failures so openly! I can't thank them enough and like Mudd said perhaps the only true way is to "pay it forward". Take the time to read and respond to posts even if it's a question you've read a thousand times. It was once unchartered territory for you as it is for the new guy/gal!

Brian,Daniel...
Great to meet you here!  This is THE place to be.... you will be educated, encouraged and greatly inspired.

Hang around for a few years and you'll be taking care of the new "noobs"

Everyday I pick up something. The light bulb goes on and you think how easy was that. I am new compared to some here but I have about 32 yrs behind me since I shot my first bow and it never stops.

This IS the place to be when you are in the market for a learning curve increase. But remember, ya still need to put what you have (learned) into practice. Please get out there with others that KNOW how to hunt & shoot. Read the books, watch the dvd's and most of all, go to a trad get together.

As humans, we need some visual assistance in our learning. Kinda set me straight some years ago.   ;)
