storage of wool garments

what is a good storage method of wool garments in the off season. moths have been a problem for me in the past. are moth balls a necessity? thanks for your input.

In a storage bin with cedar shavings in cheese cloth type material is what I do.

Cedar is very effective at keeping moths away.
Use a rubber storage container and line the bottom with cedar chips (like the ones used for hamster bedding) and you shouldn't have any issues.

Plus, it smells natural.

Don't use moth balls, you'll never get the stink out of them. i put mine in a plastic tote with cedar.

I lined my hunting closet with the thin cedar planking. The containers with shavings sound like a much cheaper, easier way to go...

I put mine in huge zip lock bags, with a cheesecloth bag of cedar chips inside, then inside a plastic tote. No problems at all.

Put your woolens in the deep freeze for a few hours to kill any moths, larvae or eggs and then put them in a sealed container of some kind. Freezing kills them.

i put mine in a plastic container with all my cedar cut offs from arrows.
