Some help with what to buy?

Hi,
I am looking for some new cold weather archery gear.
I would like some info on what works for you?
I would like something that doesn't have sleeves on the main top as they always seem to get in the way of the string of my bow,
I am thinking of getting a GFA vest with hood as that doesn't have sleeves, I just would like to know what to buy that I can wear on my arms that is tight fitting to keep me warm but not get in the way.

could just use what you have and wear arm bands or a sleeve to keep the cloth tight to your arm.

Heater body suit! Only come out of it when it's time to shoot and you can dress light under it. It's the best thing I've found for shooting Trad gear in the cold.

How cold is it where you hunt/live. I have been using layered wool underwear,shirt and jacket with comfort down to about 0 to -5F in a treestand for a few hours. It is a little bulky and doens't seem to be what you're asking for but has worked well for me. Not too binding or bulky to shoot well.

I always wear my more insulated coats and layer under them I don't change anything I always wear a arm guard to keep clothes back and have never had any problems. Widow

Ron La Clair's Archery Shop in the classifieds. Look at their wool hunting shirts and hoods. They are cut so you can use a bow while wearing them. I have the light, which gets the most use, and the heavy. They are very warm, they come down to mid thigh. I really like mine. Bill

If you keep your core and the head warm it is surprising how light you can go on the arms. For cold weather I resort to bibs, synthetic core shirts with tall collars and vests. Sometimes I'll even wear a non-cotton sweatshirt over top a vest to keep it compacted. My favorite gear these days is Sika Gear. It is expensive but you can find deals that make it not so bad. I keep my hunting clothes a very long time so I'm not worried about getting good use out of this gear.

I have emailed Ron more than once without ever getting anything back from him???
I like Teresa's stuff, it also helps that she replys to emails...
As you cannot hunt here in the UK I was thinking of using the items for 3D shoots it is about -5 to 5C here. And if the items work out I would take them when I go to France and Finland when I hunt.
I haven't hunted from a tree stand yet only S&S.
I always seem to hit the top of my sleeve when shooting that was why I had been looking at the Vests.

Check out the cat-guard arm guard from Rancho Safari---it's 14" long and is the only guard I use for hunting. If that won't keep your sleeves back--nothing will!

In recent years I have solved the problem of warmth without bulk wirth Cabela's Windshear Berber Fleece. It's light, warm and not at all bulky. I particularly like the Vest and hooded pullover. They are on sale now, I think. Worth a look.

Consider good wool option & layer accordingly. When real cold my top layers follow;
1. t-shirt 2. Longsleeve wool shirt 3. Patagonia fleece vest 4. windbreaker (thin) 5. possible other wool sweater over the top.
Bottoms; 1. wool socks over silk socks 2. long insulated underwear 3. long nylon running pants (thin for windbreak) 4. wool pants. Careful moving too much in this combo as it gets too hot too fast. You sweat you freeze.

The Asbell pullovers are great for me down to about 30 for stand hunting. Below that my cold weather gear is Ullfrotte 200 wt and KOM pants on the bottom and Ullfrotte 400 sweater, wool shirt, and KOM Bowman jacket. Head/hands/feet go longer toward my comfort than anything else.
