The hole in a Bitz jig isn't big enuf for a Bohning Index nock.  I use a 1/2" taper reamer to open the hole.  A 1/2" drill or even a big rattail file will do the trick, too.

nice to learn about the Bitz'. Glad I read the post!

Here's what I would consider a simple alternative--don't glue your Bohning nocks on.  Use another type of nock that will fit the indexer (just twist it on the taper so that it will hold well, and be careful when turning the shaft in the Bitz not to twist the shaft inside of the nock).  Use a Sharpie to make a small dot on the shaft where the seam of the nock is at (on the side of the nock--same place as where the index is on the Bohning).  After fletching, take off the other nock and glue the Bohning on using the Sharpie mark to align.  Re-use the other nock for all the shafts.

I have never had any problems, I don't push the arrow into the indexer, just set the arrow on it.  You need to make sure the arrow turns correctly when fletching.

Just a tip when fletching always put the feather in the clamp and set it in the jig(without glue) to be sure the end of the feather matches at the nock.JMHO

What Fletcher said:  open the hole to 1/2" (I used a drill)

I have cut the indexer off with a utility knife and gone to a different brand of nock. The drill solution looks good too.
