Chuck, that is an old water trough made by sinking two 2x12 planks into a spring. The water is cold and clear.I have been acquainted with that old sow for a long time.I think that is the 8th set of cubs I've seen her with and they only have them every other year. When the weather is hot, they go out of their way to soak themselves to cool down. That trough is only 12" wide but she makes it work.I didn't post them all but she has been in there several times in the last few weeks and there are two other places she can submerge but no cameras there. It has been hot and dry.I encountered her one day, coming through the woods,2 cubs in tow,and water dripping from her hair,on a hot,dry day.A neat, old girl.

Tree Killer,it looks like an African wildcat to me.I assume it is a bobcat kitten or at least a young bobcat. That lion is a pig.He is the biggest I've ever gotten a picture of.There were 5 whitetail bucks using that trail earlier in the summer.I'm only getting pictures of one now.In that picture, and one prior,he looks like his gaze is riveted on something in the creek bottom below.

I wouldn't want to say how big that lion is but the only ones I've seen with forearms like that were honest 180 lb cats.I hope we get to meet someday.

few more bama bucks from this weekend.

look at the last ones close and tell me what you think that is across the back of his neck anyone?
don't look at the horns, don't look at the horns, don't look at the horns....

Wow...  That cat hasn't missed very many meals lately!

He's a stud!!

Pretty sure this is my big six!  If I'm right he should be 5yrs old.  I passed him as a two year old and haven't had a shot on him since!  I could be wrong, but I think it's him.  He's now a 7.

What do you think?

Put a cam in a new spot for fun, got a little active just before the batteries went dead.  1800 pics, and I can't remember how many before that?

These 2 dinks kept squaring off with each other.  They should be out of velvet by now.

of course a week can't go by without getting a bear skipping through a camera set.  I really should pack a weapon with me and eliminate one of these bears!

Awesome picks Kenny and Ron    :bigsmyl:

Not much new here either but we have decided that if this buck that we named "Trashy" comes by we will try to take him.

He's a 4 year old and sure has a bunch of stuff on his bases.

He won't score the best but will gross nicely, He hasn't grown a right brow tine for the last three years.

We have been watching are bucks closely for years and most of them shed from Sept 1st to Sept 12 so they should be about done growing. We have had a terrible drought this summer so we will see if that changes anything shedding wise.

You really haven't hunted the old fashion way until you've done it from one of these Indian houses.(The Tipi) "Glenn ST. Charles"

This is a great early season spot but it takes some work to get back in there. Great exercise though!!

Some really nice bucks around too. We named this buck "Y2"

Thought this was a neat pick, Sneak attack!
