This is the end of the archery season here in MN and it's always a sad knowing I have to wait 9 months to hunt deer in MN again.  Hopefully I get drawn for turkey in the spring and should draw a bear tag for early fall.  Does anyone else feel like this at the end of their season?

I feel that way after only getting to hunt for a week in your great state.Tracy and I love Minnesota.

This was our last day also. I took one small doe last month and had hoped to fill another tag but it didn't work out.
But, it was a great season. My brother took his deer in Oct. First trad deer since we where kids and he and I have a hog hunt scheduled for this spring. Life is good!

Here in Michigan it ends tomorrow, but the temps have warmed up to the fifties, with rain, and more on the way!

I hunt deer 365 days a year, I take the bow along around 90 or so.
Lots to learn inthe off season, Who survived, find trails without worrying of busting your deer, Shed hunt, fix stands for next year, clear entry and exit paths,, What ever,, 2010 is inthe book, not to early to start on 2011..  Enjoy..

I still have 17 more days remaining in the KY season. The 1st Saturday of September (if I'm not out west or in Canada where I'm planning to be) it will start all over again.

I'm lucky I still got all of January.

Like BCWV said... same here in WV. Real sad. There is a big buck around my place... couldn't find him. Didn't take a deer with the bow this year... first time for that in a long time.

Wishin' you all a great 2011!

There are open seasons here for big game of some sort or other part of May, all of June, September, October, November, December, January, and part of February.

How long you hunt may depend on what equipment you are using, how long it takes you to tag out, whether you got drawn for certain seasons or not, and whether you want to use outfitters or not.

Then there is ptarmigan through the winter until some time in April. Small game, upland birds, and waterfowl run throughout the fall seasons with an additional season for snow geese in the spring.

I usually fish during the summer months. Then there is also scouting, practicing, getting ready, and a bunch of other outdoor stuff to do from photography to berry picking.

There is something to do in the bush that is hunting related every day of the year. Goodness... I almost feel like the darn season never ends! The outdoors is my life and I still don't have time to do it all.
Remember, the more time you spend out there, the more you learn and the better hunter you become.
May your next adventure lighten your heart, test your spirit, and nourish your soul.

Florida's seasons are pretty generous so I feel fortunate for what I get. I miss deer hunting when it is up but we have a good fur bearer season and spring turkey to fill in the worst part of the gap.

Yeap sad day here also. But when the weather gets nasty it's time to fire up the wood burner in my man cave, make a new bow and knife and by then it's turk season followed by carp season. Oh yeah going out of state mid winter to do some wild hog hunting so the pain is less than usual!

We get 24 more hunting days in MD, the only thing good about the state.

Well for me it's Bunnies in Jan. and Feb., then we're off to Rays in March for hogs, then Turkeys in April.  Comptons in June and 3D thru the summer.
