This year I decided I would make all of the Christmas gifts for my Dad. This is my first try at making things with leather and I think they came out pretty good.

This is everything I made (finger tab, hip quiver, arm guard, & back quiver).

Here's a close-up of the finger tab:

Here's the hip quiver:

Here's the arm guard with knife:

Close-up, I put his initials in the arrowheads:

I made the knife handle and buttons with an elk antler:

I lined the back with suede leather:

And here's the back quiver, the top is lined with a fox tail that I split down the middle:

And now it's time to get started on some stuff for me!

Oh, and Dad got me the KME knife sharpener!

Nice. Your dad will value those more than something you can buy. Believe me.

Beautiful work.  Bet your dad is floating on air pleased and poppin' his buttons proud!

The best gifts are those made from heart, and by hand.  Nice job!

I think your cutting your self a tad short! If my first leather work turned out like that I probably wouldn't be a dumb ol electrician now.
Most people get rich by making more money than they have needs, me, I just reduced my needs!

Very nice.
Your dad will cherish them forever.

Excellent gear! Sure doesn't look like your first leather work. I want to try my hand at leather and I'd be extremely happy to make things that good. I'll bet Dad was floored by them. Good On Ya'!

Security is mostly a superstition. It does not exist in nature, nor do the children of men as a whole experience it. Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. Life is either a daring adventure, or nothing. TGMM ♥

that really cool.
say, does that armguard wrap over the arm enough so that the string wont hang up on the beautiful knife handle- geuss he will just have to keep an eye on it-
cool place for a wee blade.
