zipper bowss

Just good and snug. No need to crank them down real hard.

Their right ! I cracked one riser by over tightening.

JRY309

Same here I just get them handtight, just snug.

Bowwild

I'm splitting hairs here but I'd recommend "finger tight". That would be snug as written above to me.

3Rivers is very fast on getting your stuff to you, but in the meantime you can make a rest out of velcro, felt, small piece of leather etc.. Assuming you are shooting off the shelf and not an elevated type. Silencers are only needed if you have to quiet it down for hunting. If you're just shootin' targets grab a handful of arrows and stick'em in your back pocket and go fling a few. Enjoy the new bow and make sure you get some pics for us!

About as tight as you can screw a top on a pop bottle with your hand and fingers. And then maybe another 1/4 turn.

John

Cootling

That extra 1/4 turn could cause you problems: going without it won't.

Steve:

What bow did you get?

I just "snug" my Widow limb bolts..... (fingers)
I always check them before I shoot or go out to hunt.

With index finger and thumb on the hex wrench I tighten until it stops. I like The word "snug" above. The limbs will be tight enough so there is no wobble or rattle.

my parents got me the red stag t/d and i must say it is one of the most comfortable grips (next to my palamino) and exstimely lightweight. thanks for all the advice guys,

Snug works for me, you have to remember you are using metal on wood, and you could over tighten without knowing it.
Archery is a family sport, enjoy it with your family.

boog21

I spin the hex wrench with one finger until the bolts seat, then I tighten a quarter turn or less.

Brad Davis

Good for you on your new bow. I just hand tighten to snug and no more on my TD.
Mommy, where does bacon come from??
Well, a pig sweetheart.
Well how does a pig lay bacon??
