I have mine at 7 5/8" and it shoot lights out.
The essence of the hunt for me is to enter nature and observe+ return safely occasionally with the gift of a life taken.

Foxtail

Yes, 7 3/4 to 8 1/4 seems to be about right for these bows. Sent you a private message with a link for all things Border- lots of good info there!

RLA

It is dependent on the bow length and limbs you have? XP-10s, XP-30s, HEX-4s, or HEX-5s?

My 62" HEX-5W likes 7" up to 7 3/4".
I prefer this bow set up at slightly under 7" 1/4"

My 60" HEX-5W likes 7" 1/4" up to 7" 3/4".
I prefer this bow set up at 7" 1/2"

Sid would likely tell me this is a little to high on the 60" bow, and your mileage may very.

The XP-10s, XP-30s, and HEX-4s may take a higher BH than the HEX-5s, but I only have experience with the HEX-5s.

Thanks for the info.

Its a 62" 50# @ 28" I pull 31" HEX4 limbs. This thing has the grip that ive been looking for for years.
