this is getting off topic.
I understand why.
Hell yes.
I did get some REALLY good responses.

It wasn't so much a cause and effect type post.

Just a general observation.

One more thing regarding the "types" of posts.

We are now a techno society.  The younger folks, or newbees, have found out that there is information out there that will help you along the road to whatever proficiency you want and much of that is internet based....  Trad Gang!

That is one of the things that goes on here.  Yes, as others have said there is a bit of a season to it all.

Enjoy the time and the ride...  Your questions will be attended to.

the diversity of life is full of ebbs and flows - sit back and enjoy the ride!  the cycle comes full circle sooner or later!
I agree with Rob. The only real change here is the 16,000+ folks who have joined since I did! I think that's a good change.

Post in the evening if you want quick responses. A catchy title doesn't hurt either. Even though you can search and probably find info on just about every topic, as we keep adding members new perspectives are added to old topics. Sometimes I skip over the ones that have been    :deadhorse: ,
but often I'll miss a topic because they seem to slide down the page so much faster these days (more members will do that). Unless it's one that really gets everyone going, you may need to bump it yourself these days.

Trad Gang has changed, but not so much in the past few years as since it started.  Not saying it changed in a bad way, just changed.

ah, a voice of reason and reality!    :readit:

all the techie chatter in the world can't make up for one good trad bowhunt with whatever gear that makes ya both happy and consistently accurate.

Mr. Green,

I am thankful.

This IS a great site.

It doesn't have to be nor should it be what I want only ....that would be pretty UNenlightening.

I'm only asking the other guests what they think of the party.

Calling them training wheels doesn't do anything except belittle those who enjoy archery in a different way from you and I and make US as a group sound like snobs.

oh yeah..the disclaimer..just my opinion...

Still the best trad site going, bar none.  With the phenomenal growth I've seen a growing tendency for people to reply to posts without first reading the responses.  You don't need to reiterate what has already been said by others unless somebody is seeking a consensus or poll. You also miss out on good info that way.  Don't know, this may be a side efffect of the "mimimum post rule" causing addiction to the sound of one's own typing!  Okay, I've had my Grinch moment, resolve nothing less but warm and fuzzy thoughts for the rest of the holidays.  Merry Christmas to all!
