How much is a used Martin Hunter worth?  Guys got one for sale and I did not know what I ought to give.

New ones are going for $550.  They've been making them for years and years (50?) so a used one depends on condition.  150?

Nice bow.  They've got a good turn of speed.

I love these bow and have two of them. I bought the older one (80s vintage, holes for sight but well repaired) for about $200.  The newer one (2000s vintage) was in nearly new shape for about $300.

I have a Martin/Howatt Hunter,an excellent bow in my opinion.But bow prices in this economy are not great.It depends on the vintage for prices and finding the right buyer.The older ones are less,I paid $250 for a 2008 Martin hunter last year in excellent shape.Prices are like what dirtguy say from the ones I've seen for sale.

As stated, condition certainly dictates a lot as far as price is concerned. There are also other things to consider. I've paid as much as $350 for a purpleheart Hunter but that was a hard to get model and in new condition. I also like the older 60's and early 70's Howatt Hunters with brazilian rosewood. I like the rosewood and the grips on those much better than the 80's and 90's models. I've paid as much as $270 for a 66' but again, in mint condition. $150 - $200 for one that needs a little work.

On average for newer models I would agree with dirtguy, I would say between $200 and $300 depending on condition.

Regardless of price, great bow for sure.

I have an older 65#@28" Damon Howatt hunter that spits a 600grain arrow 189fps with a 16 strand b-50 string and hits hard.It isnt the prettiest bow and see others like it for $150-$200,quiet often.My friend has one of the few that you see from the 70s that has the brazillian rosewood and has sworn that if he ever sells it ,that I get first shot at it .It is gorgeous and the grip on it is exceptional.The newer ones are very nice looking and one of the best bangs for the buck.Howatt/Martin proformance stacks up with the best of the best,and always has.Check that bow while strung from tip to tip.If it is straight and the draw weight smoothly feels good to you ,you wont get hurt at $100 bucks.Im sold on a Howatt hunter.

He is asking $350.  It is an 08 model.

If it is in good condition. 8 or better it could be worth that much to some people.
I would not consider that as unreasonable.
Shop around and check prices.

Since a new in the box 2010 Hunter costs $567, if the bow is in very good condition, it's worth the $350 asking price in my opinion.

When I paid $300 for a nearly new one, it was here on Trad Gang and I considered it a huge bargain. I agree with Night Wing.
