Our season is winding down here, with the final day coming tomorrow, December 15th.  Though I have had the last two days off I couldn't hunt afternoons because I wanted to see my son's basketball games, but that didn't stop me from spending thirteen hours of those two days scouting for tomorrow.  In my travels I ended up near this beautiful beaver bog, I love this place because of how peaceful it always is....

Here is lodge in the middle of the bog.....

As I skirted the edge of the bog I came across these fairly good sized trees that had been felled by these woodworking wonders....

And then, this.......unbelievable.....

I finally did find a spot that looks reasonable to hunt, I will end my season there tomorrow afternoon........  :archer:

Beautiful place and I likes the looks of that Shawnee also.  What riser/limb combo is that and are those muskox silencers?

Looks a lot like where I hunt in the Adirondacks, those Beavers can really get some work done.I always like to hunt those spots, deer like the new growth that is created by the beavers hard work! Good luck on the last day!

Thanks all, the stand site I picked is about 500 yards from this bog, along it's flowage and in between two older selective cuts. It's on the edge of a cedar swamp, and if nothing else looks like a great stand site for next year, though I am looking forward tomorrow.

Richie, the Shawnee is a charcoal diamondwood riser with half pinecones along with charcoal stained bamboo recurve limbs, backed with eastern diamondbacks.......really a nice shooting bow.

David you might need some heavy FOC arrows for those beavers.........and if you don't get them on the first shot they'll fell the tree you are in.
