Thinking about trying to skin a bow. Just wondering where you get your skins, I,m sure their is several places. Just wondering who you dealt with, what the service was like and what was the quality of the skins.  Thinking about Prarie Rattler.   RW

I got mine from the woods.  Air dry them and they are good to go.  Use a cement like barge cement to glue them, let them dry, but sure to take some duct tape and pull the scales off before you seal it. Then coat with whatever finish you want.

I have heard that tight bond II works well, but sometimes lets the skin slip out of place before totaly dry.
