Real turkey feather fletchings are great. They seem more quiet to me. This shape of chop is a little different for me too. I like the flight of these and the looks. They are 4.5" instead of my normal 4".

Beautiful. I saved a bunch of turkey wing feathers and have been planning on making some also. I guess I will have a good winter project with them.

Love those natural turkey feathers. They hold up better than the commercial ones you get today.

Sweet! I usually use a natural as a cock feather. When they get wet the natural repels water better than the commercial ones.

I love em too David, I grind and chop my own. It's not as difficult as most guys think it is and I enjoy doing it.

Great job on those arrows!
That's a real nice cresting job, too fancy for me to be shooting. They would end up in a brush pile somewhere anyway if I was shooting them.   :D

My arrows are simple, but effective and you will see that I'm also a fan of the 4.750" natural turkey feathers. Here's my typical arrows and I pretty much do them all the same way. Easy to see in flight, quiet, and accurate.
I found out real quick that I just didn't have the time for all the cresting and such.
Although yours are very nice and there are some fellas on here that are true artists with their arrow building.

Once you switch to real natural turkey wing feathers there ain't no going back.
Sure......store bought commercial feathers will do the job, but it's just not the same anymore.
Just don't use the primaries off of a young bird or they will scream all the way to your target.

From left to right....2 Blackhawk Vapor Carbons, 1 Sitka Grizzly Stick, and far right 1 Woodie.
And of Course......Those are One Stringer's Arrow Wraps! The best and most reasonably priced that I have found anywhere.
