:D
I started another post early this morning about going out to recover a doe I had shot last evening (its now closed) thought I maybe had a liver shot. Found the deer she had only went about what I guess to be 60-70 yards. The shot was pretty much perfect although it could have been a couple inches lower. We were within a few yards of her last night but didnt see her. At the shot my thought was that it was a great shot. She ran into a cut-over with head high briers and I did not hear her crash, soooo the dought started to creep in. Got down and there was a fair trail at first but then nothing. more dought creeping in....hmmm maybe it was a little far back, must be liver, a lung shot should produce a better trail and I should have heard her crash in this thick stuff.
Anyway happy ending, she is now safely at the processer  :)
Thanks for the thoughts and prayers
Mike

Bears can attack people- although fewer people have been killed by bears than in all WWI and WWII combined.

Had the same thing happen to me today.  Great blood trail, then nothing.  Down at 70 yards.  Glad we had the same outcome.  Congratulations!
