central illinois bowhunter, i need help old bibs are worn out, trying to decide on either grey wolf woolens 27 ozor sleeping indian dont know ounces.  which is better for the 500.00 dollars?

You can get a set from filson for have that and still have a quality set of bibs. JMHO

Personnaly I own sleeping indian and it's a great product.The wool is 22 onzs.If you check and compare carefully you'll notice that grey wolf woolens is a little more expensive.But if you want more explanation call sleeping indian and talk to ted rank is fun to talk and goes right to the point.Btw he's a trad bowhunter.Note that I,m saying nothing negative about grey woolf,just did'nt do any business with them.Good shopping!

I haven't tried either of those, but do own a set of Filsons and a set of Cabellas Outfitter wool bibs with the windshear layer. Both are great, but I only use the Cabellas bibs when it gets really cold. The windshear makes them flamethrower warm.  You can get either of these options for well below 500 - heck you might be able to get two pair.

Woolrich Malones.....as good as it gets and a lot less money. Buy a bit big and layer accordingly.....

I really love my KOM bunwarmers but would like a set of bibs. Woolrich for now with merino wool under them.

I just got a nice feeling pair made by Columbia Sportswear Company.

I mean less than 30 minutes ago..lol I haven't been able to field test them but just trying them on they feel great.

I got mine from a big auction site for 69.98.plus shipping.

The are just as new with the tags as those that come out of Bass Pro or any of the other big chain stores.

It just got me to thinking. I can buy something else with the $430 savings.. Yeah right! If I had that kind of money I could cut my throat and die rich...lol

not one of your options listed but i used the KOM bibs this year and I will not be buying straight pants again, these things are awesome!
Easy to layer under, lots of pockets and no issues with the belt digging into my hips etc. Warmer as well.

I own a ton of Graywolf wool & wolfskin. I really have had good luck with them. Jeff is a straight shooter & I love the fact the stuff is custom made for us monkeys. My stuff always fit right the first time & was done on time, as promised.The wool is a nice tight weave & I am a big fan of the predator grey. The lady that sews for him is a real craftsperson & a dyed in the wool(ha) traditional archer. The stuff will last a lifetime.

The bibs are on my to get list, then I think I will have it all.

I know Sleeping Indian is real nice stuff also.

One more thing to consider, Graywolf is a sponsor, if that means anything.

I would go with the ASAT wool from Day One personally. I have it and Grey Wolf and they are about the same, but the ASAT is about half the price or less.

I have the Gray Wolf and they are my go bibs when the weather dips into the teens and below.

Those with the gray wolf, what options did you get? the wolfskin or wool? and what if any lining. Also how quiet is that wolfskin?

The wolfskin is very quiet & non shiny. I am getting the comfortmax with the windstop lining. I am torn on the outer shell, the wolfskin is lighter, but I think the wool might be warmer.

The base price of the asat wool dayone is $322.00 & the graywolf is $319.00 The dayone fleece is cheaper, but I think the wolfskin is a better material, just an fyi.
