I sold a BW MAII to a guy in southern Iowa I beleive his name was Bob and would LOVE to get that bow back.

What I've found as a cure to this is buying many more bows. That way as you buy and sell them you won't grow too attached to them. Even though I do now have a core of bows that will remain with me for as long as I can shoot them.

I gave my first bow, a Bear Montana at 45# to my neighbors boy when I ordered a Mohawk. Also picked up a Voodoo Whisperstik a few weeks back. Problem is, everytime I shoot the Montana I want it back!

Sooo... I just bought another Montana at 55# to ease my pain!

I've got a couple of bows I am now contemplating on getting rid of. I just know I will regret it.

You haven't gotten the full potential out of your Blacktail. Blacktails love stiff heavy arrows. Shoot a few 12-13 GPP (grains per pound) arrows out of her instead of those light 9.65 GPP (grains per pound) soda straws you're now shooting and you might get a very nice surprise which will convince you to rescind your decision to trade.

A High Seirra?  I know why you are regretting that one.

The one bow that will never leave to another home until I kick the biscuit is my Osage self bow, put too much work and sweat into that bow to let it go. I have others that have special meaning to me because they were gifts but most of my bows are just bows.

I have only sold two bows in the last twenty years and bought both back.

about 5/6  years ago I traded off a 58" Mosshorn that I still regret to this day.  anyway' 2/3 years back I tracked it down and come to find out vermonster ended up with it and sent it to a reservation in northern Canada for the local kids to shoot. knowing I can never have it again I am VERY glad it ended up where it did.
bet those kids shoot it better than I did anyway. LOL

I've got a couple Mosshorns, among some others, that I consider selling once in awhile. Then while inspecting them so I can give a good description of them for the classifieds, I change my mind. It's hard to let any go, and I regret every one I ever sold. It's a sickness for sure. Lol! When I do let one go it's almost always because of a temporary financial need.

The good news is they make Fox bows every day.  Give a call and order another one.

I agree with Pearl Drums from the first page of this thread. When one of those special ones comes along you wont part with it for anything.    

I have sold one bow - it was gone for almost ten yrs - and I never knew it was actually in the district I work for and in the hands of a friend I had not seen for yrs - though I knew he lived in the district. I was able to learn of this bow being in his hands and get in touch with him. He sold it back to me!!!!!!!!

Makes me feel good to have it back!

From these posts if I'm weird'n out a little bit it appears I'm in good company.  The bow is history now and has found a more home where it will be used. I have some distractions coming early next week.

You know the odd thing is my wife knows me better than I do.  She always tells me, whether gun or bow, not to sell or trade em. She doesn't give a hoot for any of them but she knows I do. Reckon I should listen to her more often?

Gave away 6 bows last Christmas,5 to cousins' kids,1 to a friend/neighbor only regret is not having 2 more to give away this Christmas,sell one?Seems like a foreign idea think I'd rather sell a kidney on the black market.

I sold a bow and the gentlemen wasnt happy with the condition and we worked out an alternative. I got the bow back, sent it to the bowyer and he made her like new for free, and sent her back to me in no time. Now, I have back my first custom that took my first trad deer. I was feeling bad that I sold her in the first place, now she's home for good.

Had a beautiful '67 Grizzly I sold.  Sweet bow.  Dumb.
