There was just a post with Simmons head entry and exit wounds. They were pretty impressive. I was wondering how they fly. The wide profile makes me think they may be prone to plaining.

If you have experience shooting them let me know how they fly. It looks like they leave one heck of a blood trail and are cheap as dirt.

joekeith is right.I have shot the interceptors and land sharks. not the tree shark, but they shoot just like field points and i would expect the same from a tree shark.

I hunt with the Tree Shark broadheads. Have'nt had any problems with arrow flight. The glue on is the strongest. JMO.

I thought the same thing about the planing, but mine fly great. Maybe the vents keep them from planing, don't know. I've got Interseptors and Tree Sharks and they shoot right with my field points. I just ordered some of the 165 grain Land Sharks. Wish I could get a chance to try them on a Deer.

I just ordered 6 Tree Sharks from Simmons.

They fly like darts I used to shoot them at 265fps off my compound they will fly great on trad equip.LCH

I shoot them with 4 inch feathers and they literally fly like and hit the same as my field points.  If you ordered the glue on, make sure you take some sand paper and scuff the inside where the inserts go before gluing.  I've always shot Simmons, but never a treeshark until a couple of weeks ago..........................

I agree with what everyone else has said.  I was surprised at how well they fly.  I have a friend who has used them for years and he gets wounds like the one in the pics.  They penetrate well even at lower poundages.

I would second all of this.  Just shot a doe off the ground this fall and the blood trail looked like I pulled the drain plug on the deers vitals.  I've heard the whole arguement for single bevels making a tunnel like wound channel.  Simmons are double bevel, but looking at the wound on my deer and several other pictures like the one above, I would say the simmons produce something very equivilent.

Always cool when you have to clean up the deer after a shot just to make it presentable for a picture.

Do they make a hissing sound.  Most vented broadheads make a hissing sound when they fly.

not sure about the hissing sound but either way seeing the holes and bloodtrails these things leave im gonna have to get me a pack. anyone know where the cheapest place to get some is?

I got 6 for $23.95 per 3 from Simmons. I can't find them any cheaper. That seems pretty reasonable to me.

From the looks of the entry wounds, it sure looks like the deer didn't jump the string or heard the broadhead coming.

I was just over at the web site looking at the animals taken with Simmon's Shark broadheads, and well it looks like I just may be switching this next year.

I have shot the landsharks 125, 100, 160 screw ins, the 190 interceptors(screw in), tree shark 190 (screw in), 135 glue on Tigershark, and the 125 glue on landshark. The glue on tigershark was the loudest but not enough to effect anything. I have killed deer with all of them you can't go wrong with Simmons products. LCH
