Hope this photo posts.  This is the nock on my Hollenbeck longbow.  Can anyone tell from the pic if this bow will handle FF or any of the newer string materials?  This bow was built for me in 1997, is 58#@27", 64" in length.  Tips look to have fiberglass or phenolic under the tip
Any help is definitely appreciated.

Those look like Micarta overlays. My Hollenbeck recurve, built in 2005, is definately FF compatable. I think Roger supplied FF on all his bows. Should be fine.

Thanks for the reply.  I know when Roger built this for me he shipped a B50 Flemish with it.  Later I built a couple of back up B50 strings for it, but am now wanting to see how much more I can wring out of this great bow.

Roger himself preferred B50 Flemish twist strings, so that's what he made & supplied with his bows. He didn't strongly object to FF strings being used on his bows. He realized FF was becoming very popular & his bows were built to handle it as well as any.

If I attached it okay, here's a photo of my Hollenbeck r/d longbow showing limb tip and B50 Flemish string. I wouldn't hesitate to shoot it with a non-stretch string. For some reason, I've just always replaced it with B50.

Thanks for the input.  I'm just picking my bows back up after a 10 year hiatus and the bow Roger built for me has always been my favorite.
