How I get ready for hunting season.

All equipment ready? check
Lots of practice? check
Broadheads sharp?  check
Bucks chasing does yet?  BIG CHECK  :banghead:    Wish that was one I could say not ready yet.

Hit a stump while riding in the dark and rolled sideways.  Looks like my arm is out of commision for about 6 weeks.  Can't hunt so I'll be hunting through your adventures.  So get out there , have some fun and good luck.  I'll be standing by for the stories.

At least I found out I can type with just my left hand.  Eating lunch left handed was an adventure too but I managed with just a little food slopped on my shirt.  :goldtooth:

What joe said.

If you think eating lunch is an adventure, just wait till you have to go to the bathroom.  I've been there before with a dislocated scholder.

Hope it heals up good for ya.

I try not to let my mind wander...It is too small and fragile to be out by itself.

Bad timing. Well, it could have been worse, glad you weren't hurt seriously.

Traditional bowhunting is often a game of seconds... and inches!

Mudd

I was thinking of trying to get you to put me on some hogs after our season here is out.

I guess that's out for awhile anyway.

I'll be praying for quick and complete recovery.

God bless,Mudd

Do like Tim Farmer host of Kentucky Afield does Pac. He lost his arm in a motorcyle accident and pulls the string back with his teeth, and is really good! Saw him bowfish with a recurve and compound shoots too. Muzzleload,shotgun... no prob. The guys pretty amazing. But since you've only got six weeks maybe you better just rest awhile. Get Well.... Phil

Draw the bow with my teeth?  saw a guy do that once with a special leather tab but I tend to think if I tried that I'd have a broken arm and missing teeth to boot.   :knothead:

Funny thing about the young "kid" doctor I had.  He said this would take longer to heal because of my "matured" age.  I laughed and told him it was ok to call me old.

VA emergency room took really good care of this vet.  Even took my feelings into account.  Props to them.

Tim (and folks like him) use a leather tab attached to the string. They hold the tab with molars. Others have used this method with temporary issues but I would doubt a 6-week rehab would be worth learning to shoot this way?

If a person was going to be down for several months (Dwitght Schuh, Bowhunter Magazine a few years back) this tab method could keep you in the game (pun intended).

Covey

Look at the bright side, after 6 weeks you'll be able to use both hands. There is a big word for that but I don't know how to spell it! HA! Jason
