Same thing happened last winter, my friends son came through the front door with a Cream chested hawk, commonly mistaken for red tails. also had a broken wing. and put up no resistance. The local falconer chapter came and said they would try to nurse it back to health. we found this bird next to the NYS thruway.

You know what the sad thing is???  Because we hunt and do kill animals, many believe we kill everything we meet.  They never see the things we do to help wildlife-Tim's helping a hawk, helping a deer on the ice, moving a turtle out of the road, etc.  Just a wee bit frustrating!!!
