I finally pulled it off. I took this little 7 pt. with my longbow Friday afternoon.

Here's the story. I had been hunting in Washington County in the am and had only seen a few deer so I decided to make a move in the afternoon. I set up in one of my favorit spots along a creek bottom in Allegheny County. I got on stand around 2:00 and proceeded to hit my grunt call 3 times. On the 3rd grunt he came right in on me. He came out of a Goldenrod field crossed the creek and gave me a 5 yard shot. When I hit him he did a back flip into the creek and then got up and slowly walked about 80 yards into the field and layed down. On inspecting my arrow I determined my shot was back and was probably a gut shot. At this point I backed out for 3 hours. When I returned to look for him I found him right where he layed down. My arrow passed right thru his liver. He had been dead for a couple hours. I spent about 5 minutes on stand that afternoon, it happened really fast. It was one of my most memorable hunts ever.
