On my recurves what I have found works best is to split each set of Hush Puppies so I have 4 smaller ones (2 sets half sized) I put one set on the 1/4's and one set on the 1/3'ds.  That with some Bowhush has proven to be the best for all of my recurves.  Very very quiet
