For those of you that have been waiting to see the new Stalker takedown 3 piece longbow, here are some pics and details.  I've been feverishly working on getting this bow ready for production (between hunts and recurve bow orders).  This bow will be part of a line that will have have a traditional longbow handle and the limbs will interchange between the two different handle styles.  I will also be building a set of recurve limbs to go along with either handle.  I don't expect to have the traditional longbow handle or recurve limbs available until sometime in 2011.

The limbs on the longbow have a lot of preload as you can see from the pics. They are a reverse trapezoid design. Performance has been similar to my recurves.  I will be offering the limbs with an optional carbon core.  Additionally, as an option the limbs will be offered with a carbon inlay on the back.

I will have picture up of a second (of three)handles with  different design with the accent strips. I recently got a chance to test the bow out down in Texas and shot a nice whitetail buck with it on literally the last minute of legal shooting light on the last day of the hunt.

I just shipped the bow off to Ryan Sanpei(he just sent me a picture a few minutes ago of a nice billy he shot on Maui with the longbow I sent him out to test a few weeks ago) to do some testing on and compare it to the other longbow I sent out to him a few weeks ago.  After that it is going to Montana to be tested out by yet another tradder.
I will be pricing the bows out similar in cost to my recurves, but will be offering a $50 introductory discount through the end of 2011 on each model.  I'm also going to have a contest to name the bows, check out the thread on it, I'll be GIVING AWAY a free longbow to the winner of the contest.  See the link to that thread  http://tradgang.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=1&t=096295

Stalkers are my "mojo" bow!

I was fortunate enough to get to field test this longbow and got lucky!  I'll be sure to follow up with a story.

Hey Howler,
I've seemed to have misplaced it,  I think I left in Maui on my last hunt....  :goldtooth:
