I imagine this topic has been discussed before, but I'm new here. I use a shooting glove but I heard that I might be more accurate and shoot more consistent with a tab. Any impute?, thanks

I've used both glove and tab, but since I shoot low poundage bows, I get a cleaner release with a tab. I've been using a tab now for 46 years.

I couldn't ever get along with a glove and didn't have a tab that fit me right so I make my own out of beaver hide. I shave the hair down to about 1/8" or less then cut out the general shape I like and trim a little as I shoot till it feels perfect. I only shoot with 2 under so I don't need much of a tab and the commercial ones are big and bulky feeling to me. I could probably just shoot bare fingers but that may be pushing it?

Buy both they're cheap. Play with both until you can decide which you are most accurate and comfortable with. It really is a personal choice.

I use the Saunders Fab Tab - it's plastic - and trim to fit my hand.  I have used these for years and much prefer them to gloves

I've ended up using a ("Super") glove with my 52# longbow and a cordovan tab with my 46# recurve.  I find that the glove gives my arthritic fingers a little extra support with the heavier bow.  I like the tab because I can feel the string better and mostly, because I can use my fingertip to better feel the anchor on my tooth.

I shot glove for several years then tried a tab and found I did get a better release. I shoot the Saunders fab tab also since it is a slick plastic type. Great for bowfishing also water doesn't bother it. I shoot the large size so in cold weather it slides over my gloved finger easily.
