I would hate to trim back the left arm of my ghillie, but I'm worried about string clearance.

I need some solid advice here on how to cleanly shoot in this thing. I just got it and don't have much practice time in it due to running a company and other obligations. No excuses, but you guys that hunt with them, could y'all help me out here? I'm back in the bush tomorrow AM.

Pull an army green sock over you entire arm, snip the hand opening. Its the best, most reliable way to do it, IMHO. I have the same suit and have tried other things.

Try a Camoskins Compression Sleeve. Different camo patterns are available. You will still need to do some trimming. I know that Cabelas carries them.

if you cant the bow, even if its trimmed there is a problem,my armguard won't go over the strings, try a sleeve from a old sweatshirt to hold everything in tight

I was thinking about the sock, sleeve idea, etc.

Nice quote Brushcreek....

I push the sleeve on my bow hand up as far as it'll go.  I'm usually wearing something camo underneath anyway, and as long as I don't move fast it's not a problem.

I use an old long sleeve t-shirt and cut the sleeve off,two or three stitches of thread(at the shoulder) and its on

On the one I had, I trimmed all the shag away on the bow arm and the chest.  Then I did like said above and cut the end out of a brown dress sock.  Slid it up around my bicep, and put my regular armguard on my forearm.  I also always use a bino harness so that kept the chest section from sagging to much.  Worked great for me, hope this helps you, and good luck.

I have been using a ghillie for years.I just cut the sleeve off at the shoulder and wear a camo shirt underneath. No problem and deer don't notice.

OkKeith

I have long arms so the chest shag was no problem. I did trim the material from the inside of the elbow to the inside of the shoulder. This has worked great for me.

I have the RS Ghillie made with strips of cloth rather than the yarn.

try using a knee high pantyhose. just cut the foot off. it's lightweight, breathable and transparent. just don't let the wife or girlfriend see you take it.

My RS longcoat uses strips of cloth and not yarn/burlap. Does that matter? I think 'll roll the sleeve up, or figure out how to remove it whole and reattach later with velcro at the shoulder.....

Or find it in your pocket after you get back from "hunting"...

I would just trim the material.
Id rather not have most of my body concealed and one arm not concealed.
Even with a camo sleeve(ETC)on the one arm it defeats the purpose of a ghillie in my mind.
