It was on November 14th 1995 that I shot my last deer my Dad was there to help track it, in the spring of 1996 my Dad passed away and for personal reasons I put my bow away for seven years then decided that I was missing something. That something was bow hunting and for the last seven years I have been back in the woods but I never shot a deer until this past Wednesday November 3rd 2010 almost fifteen years since my last. I was on my second trip to North Dakota with my brother Rich and our long time friend Kevin and that evening this beautiful deer gave me a slightly quarting away shot at 9 yards. I was on the ground the way I like to hunt and have shot several thousand practice shots just like it and well all that practice and patience paid off. It was worth the wait and I will never forget this magnificent animal.
