Wow! that is a horse of a doe!

My lab is mainly a bird retriever but he is hopefully gonna trail as well. He has it down just I have yet to hold up my end of the bargain and get a deer for him to try his taught skills.

Mass doe last Thursday Doc. The third animal I've taken with that arrow.2nd generation head. A wash job and a couple passes on the stone and it's back in the quiver. Keeps a great edge

Congrats on a fine evening !

Do you have a source for the headlights ??

            Thanks

Pat,
You can Google led lenser.  You want the H7 or the new H14 (more expensive).  I've used this site before but you might find them cheaper than $40.  I think I paid $60 a couple of years ago...Doc

Chris Surtees

Doc,

Here is a picture of Koa at the site of his latest find.

Good blood line run deep with these two pups. They share the same sire and he is his owners number one tracking dog.

Joe Clark

Excuse my ignorance but what breed of dog are these. Chris Surtees and one of Tippits dog appear to be the same breed. They may all be the same breed. I am red/green color blind and always have trouble tracking (basically just looking for a dead deer) been fortunate to have good hunting/tracking friends and actually see most deer tip over. Anyway we recently lost our dog of 14 years and are looking to get a new one, maybe could kill two birds with one dog!

Chris Surtees

Joe,

All three of the dogs are the same breed...Wire Haired Dachshund...Tilly has a smooth wired coat and Cash and Koa have a more wire haired. These dogs can be anything in between as well.

My dad has one of Tippet's pups named Beau who looks just like his mama Tilly.

Chris Surtees

Doc,

Cash and Koa could be twins...I really need to get him striped but doing to wait until after tracking season.

Beau looks just like his Ma'am...he is up at my place right now and hoping to run him a couple times over the next few days:)

Good luck in Iowa...cannot wait to read the stories.
