I have gone in when the sun was out 330pm and woke up at 8pm best sleep ever in a tree.

I am a master of tree stand and blind naps.

I'll doze a lot more than I used to since switching to a Tree Saddle.  No more waking up in a panic.

I remember in my late teens I was hunting my aunt and uncle's place. I found a place where bed rock was exposed and moss had grown in a thick layer. It was in a hard wood stand that boarders a mountain laurel thicket. God even seen fit to put a large root at the top. I figured I could lay there and watch for deer coming out of the thicket. The sun rays came down thru the trees and warmed me right up. I was sleep good when I awoke to rustling leaves and thought I was dreaming it at first. Looked around and nothing, tried to get back to my afternoon nap when I heard the rustling again. I would hear and it would stop. Well about 15 mins of this and one of the biggest toms I ever recall comes out into view. I miss the shoot but man what a nap.

Yep.I was sitting in a chair in a groundblind snoozing away.I had my head leaned down and I guess drool came out of my mouth,landed on my chest,got cold and woke me up.

About the only way I can sit still enough to let deer approach is when I doze off.  It's a standard tactic anymore.  Safety up and doze off.  Wake up and look around a minute, doze back off.  Espically early mornings before shooting light.  

I used to be scared to death that I would doze off and wake up dead from a fall from my tree stand.  Now that I use a treesaddle, that's not a problem anymore.

Being waken by the sound of woody wood pecker just above my head while I was in my climber.
Thank God for my safety harness.

Sat down against the rock outcroping & then woke up to have 6 Does to chose from.

Turkey hunting, decided since it was slow I'd just lay back for a bit.
Wake up in time for my normal bed time.

Yep! Way too much.

Yes, Me and a good friend back in the late 80's used to take the week before gun season off work to hunt a farm in northern Ky. we used to have access to.(What I would give to get to hunt that farm now.) We were both in our early 20's and had graduated up to compounds at that time   :rolleyes:  and were master bowhunters. Anyway, one time I was pelted awake by him throwing rocks at me laughing his head off.(You know how good friends treat you.) The other time I was startled awake by the feeling of my bow slipping out of my hand. It fell a good 20 feet and hit the ground. When I climbed down to it my sight bar was the only thing that was damaged.I would be inclined to say that I would have been much better off if it had been broke beyond repair.But, as I was back then I would have just replaced it with another.(Yes) I was consumed by the dark side. It took me a few more years to re-discover the true joy of hunting. Now I mostly stay on the ground.

Yes I have, it seems I do it more often as I get older! Although my 11 year old son will nod off almost as soon as he sits down in our blind:)

I found a plywood and 2X4 stand once back in about a mile. It was in an area I wanted to hunt so I took up residence in it for an evening hunt. I fell asleep with both of my arms hanging over the railing. Woke up and both arms were ASLEEP! I couldn't have picked up my bow and shot it for several minutes...even if there was a 6X6 bull standing at 10yds! After I realized what I had done I laughed at myself.
