The only thing missing in the pics, is you posing with one! I know we will see that soon.

Thanks everyone. I saw 8 different deer last night, this sequence of photos was from my treestand when these two little guys saw each other. They were taken over a span of 23 minutes. It was amazing to watch them posturing over what they both thought was their domain. The last pic shows the loser trotting off with his tail tucked.

Glad you enjoyed them.

Awesome, Tom! Looks like a lot of fun watching all of that from a good stand location. Is that in Jefferson county?

That's what I'm talkin' 'bout. I love just seeing deer, and am missing it terribly, again this year - so these pictures help.

BTW

That's Kentucky terrain?   I didn't realize you guys had cedar trees like that. I've always liked the look of that terrain. Nice. Happy hunting!

KentuckyTJ

Hey BTW, love the cedars. They make the best treestand trees in my opinion. Another benefit while in them I pick off the foliage and crush it in my hand. Makes great cover scent. I also use it in my plastic tub of hunting clothes. A local guy used to grind it up and make a liquid cedar cover scent. Great stuff.

The season gave him perfect mornings, hunter's moons and fields of freedom found only by walking them with a predator's stride.

Nice pics, all they need is time to grow. Is that a fire ant mound or rice bran?
