Can anyone recommend a good 3 or 4 man 3 or 4 season tent with killing a wallet?
I saw a pop up but don't know how strong it will be named Grand Trunk Uinta 4-Man Tent.

We bought a Cabela's Outback Lodge Tent several years ago. It has done very well for us.

Here is a link:  Cabela\\'s Tent

We have used it in all kinds of weather.

Last year at the Oklahoma Selfbow Jamboree. I didn't have the guy lines done right (got a little lazy during set-up). I brushed the snow off and tightened the lines and everything was fine.

This years WET Turkey camp. Three days of rain!

It has plenty of room for 3 or 4 if everyone keeps their gear tight. Lisa and I are very comfortable even with our two Labs along. Still plenty of room for gear.

In a moment of decision the best thing you can do is the right thing. The worst thing you can do is nothing.

Lots of guys out west like the Springbar.  I like my Outback Lodge w/vestibule.

You did not say whether you want canvas or some other material.
Here is my fav-it is a Canvas tent, 13ft dia and 9 ft tall-just right for 4 hunters and gear. Soulpad, cost was around 400 shipped, as I recall.

Bjorn, That is a Sweet tent, I' gonna have to look into that I was getting ready to order a canvas tent

Bjorn, I just went to their site and did not see the canopy. Is that something they offer or something you did? I like the tent and maybe looking into one.

Joe "Whip" Lasch has a story re. camping with canvas in the Fall 2010 TradArchers' World magazine. A great article!! Tom

I have one GP Small and a pyrimid tent both with liners.  They can be found quite reasonably through several military surplus outlets.  Both canvas so they obviously require periodic treatment to remain waterproof.  I camp in December in Iowa for a week at a time and I can assure you that it is a comfortable camp.
Hunt fair, hunt hard, no regrets.

Call "Whip" of Priarie Traditions. A TG site sponsor who will not steer you wrong. If you cannot afford one of his he will recommend something else.

i know you said not to break the wallet, but the Hilleberg Nallo 3 or Nallo 3 GT are awesome tents for backpacking.

I just bought a tent for a Nov. muley hunt. I won't be backpacking in, just truck camping and walking in for day hunts. So, I found that Cabela's Alaskan Outfitter dome tent 6 person, 6'3" high, to fit my needs. Plus they have free freight. That worked out to a good savings because the tent weighs 30lbs. This thing will will hold up to whatever the elements will throw at it!

David I saw that in a 4 man. Looked nice.

If you have an REI store near you I'd suggest checking out their selection.  Yes they are a bit pricey but they have a good range from modest to $$$$.  They also have a great return policy so if you're not 100% satisfied with it, no matter how long or how much use you gave it, you can return it for an exchange or store credit and either get a different one or some other piece of gear you may need.  They are also available online but then you can't play with it like you can in the store.  I just recently got a NEMO Losi 3P tent and love it.  They currently have the NEMO Losi Storm 3P extended season tent reduced in price so it's cheaper than what I paid for mine.  Hope this helps.
