How can I clean up the extra Insert Iron that squishes out of the shaft when gluing in brass inserts? I guess I should have wiped them off right away, but this stuff has dried and it's quite rubbery and tough. I just don't want that dried coat of adhesive impeding penetration.

Any tricks for removal?

Heat it up and it will come right off - I clean the excess off as I go and don't let it try. Insert Iton is removable with heat, says it on the package

Yeah--just be careful and don't add too much heat--only what is necessary--be careful and next time wipe it off when it is wet--I think we have all been in your shoes!

can insert iron be used for gluing on points to wood arrows?

What are your guys' opinions on insert iron? I have used it and it seems to work very good. Just curious..
