I'm new to the trad scene and have been reading posts EVERY day.  Awsome site and have learned a ton from you guys.

I hope you guys can help me out.  I have a bow that I obtained from my dad, but can't make out who manufactured it.  Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

       

My other bow is a yard sale find and is a sweet little Ben Pearson Gamester.  Paid a whole $10 for it and it is in new condition.  You guy's great posts have given me fantastic advice and have helped enhance my experience with my new toys.

Try posting this on the Trad History/Collecting forum.  If anyone can help it would be some of the guys that hang out there.

Looks like a cool old bow, and the history with your Dad makes it special.

That is without a doubt a Ben Pearson. Easy to tell if you are familiar with the characteristics and patterns of the serial #, cat#, etc....in other words, the written info.

Not sure what model it is. Post these same pics in the Trad History/Collecting section and you are sure to get more info.

I will also warn you now, watch out for that "collecting bug". It can be dangerously addictive.

It is a Ben Pearson Cougar made in the late 1950's.  From the pictures it appears to be in good enough shape to shoot.  I have several of the exact same model also in the 50#+ range that are shooters.
