I'm getting a good deal on a 1/4 lb. spool of B500 bowstring, a whole roll of Bcy400 1616 serving thread, and a new tube of Martin Archery string wax.........just wondering what your experiences have been with the B500 bowstring thread.
Did you like it, hate it, is it good, or junk?

This will be for flemish twist Trad strings only......if that helps any.

I like B50 better. B50 seems to hold the wax better and the strands stick together better as well. I won't buy any more B500

How was the creep factor on it, did it stretch for quite awhile before it was shot in?

The last Flemish twist strings that I purchased stretched for several shooting sessions before they settled. I had to constantly check my brace height and add more twist.
That's why I want to start building my own, and it's cheaper, and I can get the exact length I want on my home made Osage bows.

When i build a new string, I put it on and leave the bow strung for about 2 days.  Seems to get alot of the streach out.

I use both.

I have used both B50 and B500,they seemed pretty equal in qualities.Even though they are both dacron I don't like to mix brands.I'm looking to try some of the new BCY B55 dacron, supossed to have less creep then the B50 and B500.
