What is the quietest recurve you shot? With or with out silencer, limb savers etc?

I'm looking into buying a new recurve and I'm not quite set yet on wich brand... Any suggestions?

Night Wing

On both of my Blacktail TD recurves, there are no string silencers attached to the bowstrings. No limb savers, no silencing in the string grooves. Just quiet. Of course, I'm shooting heavy arrows too.

Well if it has to be a recurve, the Fedora 560 is the quietest 'modern' recurve I have had.
Let me add that classic Bear Kodiak recurves from 1956-1962
are unsurpassed when it comes to 'quiet'.  IMHO

My Ed Mikuta is the quietest TD recurve I have shot.  Longbow would be my LC NAT btw.

cacciatore

I second the Bear bows, then Bighorn and Zipper.
But everybody can makes quiet any bow bow, just a little of attention to the details.

If it's in your way, move it.

Assenheimer, but you cannot judge a bow by one factor alone.

Toelke one piece and take down recurves like his longbows are exceptionally quiet.

Another vote for the Assenheimer.  I'd love to shoot one with foam cores.

Ravenhood

I have found that some bows of the same make are quieter, my find is a 58# predator 60 inch.
