phil_des_bois

I'm happy with mine, no cons for me.

Great packs, great people.. Use the wool fanny pack, very quiet, wears exceptionally well, very comfortable shoulder straps. My first choice for a  fanny pack. Will last a lifetime..

+1 what 3Feathers said except my haversack is coyote brown (Angelo calls it camel). Perfect for my deer hunting.

The wool is very quiet but I guess it could be a burr magnet if you are in the wrong vegetation. No problem for me.

I have the Haversack too, in green wool.  Angelo is a good guy and big supporter of the hunting organizations.

Bison Gear packs are top notch. I have the First Trip Explorer and love it. No problems at all!

I love the expandable game bag. It came in handy the other day. I shot a buck over a mile from the truck. I packed the backstraps and one front quarter in it to the truck, then grabbed the big pack for the rest. That pack saved me another trip.

I see this pack lasting for many years to come.

I have the lost river in bucksuede. It is a great daypack. Very comfortable. Would replace it with another one like it.

love my bison gear!  i have the outfitter (large fanny pack) with the optional shoulder straps.  I hunt in the south so i went with the Camo bucksuede..very durable and not to hot.   The wool would be a little on the warm side for most days down south.  Love the bag and attention to detail.  Bought a badlands pack and...it sits alone in the corner...my bison gear pack is my go to bag!

Did i say i love the pack...   ;)

I love my wool Lemhi pack. I've been carrying it for several years now. Still looks like new. Great size to carry all of my gear, food,
drink and extra clothes for a full day in the mountains.

Great versatile packs that are tough as can be. I have four different versions from stand haulers to short hunts. Been using and abusising them for years. Angelo stands by his stuff. If you need anything for them it's at your home in no time. You couldn't ask for a better product from a great guy. I wish all companys where like Bison Gear.

I can only quote Mike because I couldn't say it any better.

I purchased a Bison Gear, (Formerlly Pack Idaho) in the early to mid 1990's. I have used it on every hunt I have been on in the west, many and it still is super strong. Very quiet and I forget that it is there. Durability is top notch.

I own two, a Lost River and one of the tree stand packs that holds my lone wolf. Love them both, great quality.

You wont find anyone who has one that doesn't like it.  They are expencive but this is definitely one thing you get what you pay for. I like the fact you can have it made exactly like you want, I had extra tie down's added to mine, a choice of several materials, and pack styles.  A very good product, money well spent.  R.W.

I just bought a used First Trip Explorer in the classifieds here. I used it two times last weekend and it is just what I wanted in a pack! I can even strap my Huntmore stool on it and it works like a dream.
