I have only been in the Traditional world for a short time, so my question probably has been asked a thousand times.I have a Martin Mamba 58", 50 lb recurve. I have only been shooting it for a few weeks.Recovering from a broken arm at the wrist and a frozen shoulder. Just started back shooting some the past two weeks.
I read as much as I can about traditional bows. Have shot  :dunno:   compounds for years, but know little about traditional bows. Question I have is: Measured the brace height on my bow today and found it measures at 6 1/2 inches. From what I have read from others that seems low. Is it? and if it is what do I need to do to increase the height? Thanks for any help in advance. So far people have helped me alot on this site and I thank each of you.

I have an older Mamba and it's set at 7-1/4" to the deepest part of the grip.

Manitoba Stickflinger

Twist up the string = shortening string = higher BH.

From the Damon Howatt website, the "recommended" brace height for a 58" Mamba is 7"-7.75" which you can confirm by clicking on the link below.
