Had em all.. IMO, get a Chimera, best of both. You get the benefit of twp strips of carbon, plus a pretty veneer to look at when time is slow on stand.. speaking of some Cocobolo and Juniper, here's one of mine. 58" 54@28 Chimera w/ Cocobolo and Chechan riser, a Tecovas Jasper knapped head that Jim inlayed for me. Western Juniper belly, Bighorn Sheep grip, tip and thumbrest overllays. Stippled grip a must. Pics don't do her justice.

Here's some pics of my Chimera. Nothing fancy, just a great bow. I went with black glass on the belly. I may miss a deer walking by if I had a pretty veneer on the belly.    "[dntthnk]"

Larry, get carbon. That Centaur I had was pretty fast for 50# and I now wish I hadn't gotten rid of it.

Larry, I told him I liked a recurve grip...I believe it is what he would call a high grip. It is a medium grip in my eyes. It works no matter what I call it!

A few to check out. I'm partial to Cocobolo and Yew. My next one will be a 60" Chimera, Cocobolo and Yew.
