I'm so glad you got the bow! She sure is a beauty, gotta love that Zebrawood. She's in great shape, you did very well. Enjoy her and shoot straight! Congrats!

Congrats, Legois!  That is a '64 or 65 Grizzly, but don't be disappointed.  It is a better bow than the '69.  That style is the best Grizzly Bear made, IMO.  Mine is a '67.

It is a 1964 Grizzly. The first number only indicated the actual year from 1965-1969.Zebra wood was only used in 1964 and 1965.It is a great bow and a really nice piece of wood.

Thanks Danny!

Fletcher thank you for the information. Disappointed? No no, I'm even happier now! The older, the best to me!

JimB thanks, I didn't know that the zebra was only used in 64-65.

Cottonwood thank you!

Looks like Christmas came early?
Great looking bow, I'm envious. I also shoot a Bear Grizzly and I love mine. It's smooth, quiet, forgiving, and accurate.
When you get your first kill down on the ground with  the new bow, be sure and post some pics of it.

The road to "Sherwood" makes for an awesome journey.

Glad you got it.  I know you can hunt with firearms in Brazil, are you allowed to bow hunt?  If you are and you do, you should post some pictures of your adventures.  Bill

**DONOTDELETE**

My question is the same as Bill's....do you bowhunt down there? What do you hunt? Pics would be interesting.

Legois

Thank you all for your support!

Actually we are forbidden to hunt with anything (firearms, bowhunting etc). It's totally forbidden to hunt in Brazil. You can't hunt puma, ema, onça, aligators, capivaras, anta etc.

It was legalized to hunt wild hog (not javelinas!) that is not natural from here. It has scaped from some farms then it became a natural disaster.

But in august it was forbidden too. See here it's easier to forbidden everything than regularization. WE SIMPLY CAN'T HUNT ANYTHING (no matter if it is with firearms or bows).

The only thing we can do here is Fishing. But it is forbidden also for some months.

We live on a false democracy as you can see. At least the wild hog was legalized before but now we can't hunt even it.

If I want to bowhunt....I'll have to travel to Paraguay, Uruguay, Argentina....that's my reallity here :/ hehhe

PS: sorry for my bad english

wbyrd

Glad to see you got your bow, what a great looking bow!

And no need to apologize for your English. I can understand you just fine.

I know the importance of family and all, but if hunting were banned in this country, I'd be gone before you could say ...aye!  I'm a pretty patriotic person most of the time but not because of geography -- I'm patriotic because of our country's value-based foundation. If that is eroded...the door won't hit my butt.

Every now and then we in the U.S. need a reminder of how idiotic, unscientific, and self-centered those running other countries are. Oh, and I'm sure there are plenty who wuld run this one just the same if we ever stop paying attention!

Sorry, your situation just makes me mad. I'm a retired biologist and I know the best way to protect your wildlife resources and the habitat it depends upon is to build an economy around wildlife-related recreation nwith hunting being the most lucrative. The only thing protecting Africa's big game is the foreign hunter willing to pay for travel, lodging, souvenirs, trophy fees, etc.

Cyclic-Rivers

Glad it arrived. I was worried for you.

Hope you like shooting it after all that work and worry.  If you dont like shooting it, at least it is nice to look at.
Relax,

You'll live longer!

Bowwild I completelly agree with you. Here we (that would like to hunt) always says that the economy around wildlife-related recreation with hunting would save much more than forbidding.

But we only have politicians worried to stell as much money that they are able to. Our president is a world wide joke. Did you know that he is analfabetic?

I always desired to live in USA I just love your life stile, all the tradition. If I really want to it was possible. I'm a physician and I could work there. But my all family is here. I'm still doing cardiollogy, will take a few years yet. It's easier to me to travel to another country and hunt than leave here. It's a bit complicated haha

I have already shoted and I loved it. It's a great shoter!
