I am trying to figure out a good arrow for a 20# kids bow with a draw length of 19 1/2" it needs to be able to have between 65-85gr heads. I have Easton ST Axis Junior,and XX75 platinum plus 1716. These both fly like crap with an 85gr field point.The 1716 hit tail right,and the Axis hit tail high, And I tried moving the nock point, it didn't help.Any help on another arrow.I want to set my son up for squirrels and such.Thanks Tim    

I tried plugging in some numbers into Stu Miller calc. and it could not give any reccomendation. I had the same problem a while back with my nephew and wound up calling Black Rhino Bows, the people were very helpfull and because they sell kid's bows had arrows in stock that flew good off of the bow.  

I tried the calculator thing as well.

Using full length arrows? When my daughter started shooting years ago I found that full length shafts tended to be more forgiving and would recover faster with spine missmatching than trying to tune with exact length arrows. This was also with just target points so broadhead stearing was not an issue

1/4 inch oak dowels work good. You can order points and nocks for those, through some of the sponsors here.

I second John, 1/4 oak dowels work, just leave them long and adjust and make the fletch higher although I prefer ash, old grown fir and poplar for kids arrows but you just about have to make your own.

I have some 1/4 inch ones,but I have srew on BH's and need those other kinda arrows( I only shoot wood out of my bows).Thanks I will keep them long whatever I get.
