I have several of the old Bear with wire arm quivers. I also have a few other side mount ones. They all have the gripper sections so close my longer cedar arrows make noise when I shoot. The fesathers rustle and make a bit of noise. The fact that from gripper on shaft to nock is so long makes it a problem. dO ANY OF YOU HAVE SUGGESTIONS HOW TO QUIET IT? oR WHAT QUIVERS HAVE A LONGER HEAD TO GRIPPER LENGTH? That is so the unsupported to the nock is less movable.

oh forgot. On my 3 pc tds I use ones that mount under limb bolts and are 2pc or deltas/bighorns that mount on side of bows that are drilled. I am in the market for one of the Bear SK's and dont want to drill it and its a one pc bow so what would you use on it?

Are you sure that the noise you hear is from feather clearence.I used the 8 arrow quivers for decades without that issue but I did turn the arrows for best fletching clearance.Also watch broadhead clearence.

Those quivers do have some vibration noise if not attended to.

My regimen for quieting the 8 arrow was:

1.Threadlocker on every screw and tightened.

2.Shoot silicone caulk between the two flat,aluminum pieces on the gripper.

3.Where the upper spring arm contacts theframe wires,use moleskin at any point of contact.

This will quiet those quivers.Without it,there was always some noise.

The Delta 7 arrow quiver is a great quiver and lighter than the bear if you have a riser with inserts.You should be able to find them at 3R and other dealers,marketed by Bear for the Custom Kodiak.Just not called Delta.

Personally,I would drill the SK.There are other good quivers by sponsors here like EFA and Kanati with different attachment systems for different setups.

I am hesitant to drill a classic 68/69 Super Kodiak. I will never sell so I know thats no problem on value...lol..

I would wear a back quiver before drilling a 68/69 SK.

the one I am waiting on is a 60" SK and One reason I am SO RELUCTANT TO DRILL is I may sell it if I can find a 64" but that one ...well I will never sell it . I have 30+" draw and looking for the longer but cant pass this 60" for now...lol

Just go with an Eagle's Flight quiver and your troubles will be over.

I have to set my arrows just right even with the Eagle's Flight quiver to keep the fletching form hitting and making noise.
