I have not shot a recurve in some time.I realy like bob morrison bows but dont know where I could look at or shoot one for that matter. I believe I know what I want and was wondering if any one knows how long it is taking once the order is placed. I will be leaving on a pig hunt the last part of feb. And dont know if it unrealistic to ask Bob if it may be possible to aquire it by then. Was wondering if any one here may have any info or knowledge about his bows that might help.Or another brand of bow that they would suggest. Looking at snake skin for sure(copper head) and choice of woods. From what ive seen his bows look like a piece of art work. And could only hope they shoot as well.I hope to make my compound my back bow to this in the future but of course this would be my back up bow until I feel iam ready to make the switch. Thanks

They are great bows and great shooters, best bet for info on ordering or how long it takes is to talk to him yourself.Maybe he has something instock in what you are looking for, check out his website.

YORNOC

They do indeed shoot as good as they look.

You cant go wrong with Morrison longbows or recurve's.And no one does snake skins better than Bob.Period.Thanks,Jim
Never trust a bald man with a pony tail.If he's not honest with himself. He wont be honest with you.

Bob is a real master bowyer, his bows are second to no one.You can be wrong with any of his works of art.Maybe you can ask for a test bow. Some bowyers offer this kind of test.

All my bows are Morrisons, best looking best shooting bow made as far as I'm concerned. You will look along time to find a better bowyer and person to deal with than Bob.

Bjorn

Morrison bows are at the very top with very few equals.

I have a set of limbs on order. He told me he was running about 3 months, one month ago. You checked his web site? You could get one alot faster if you buy from his in stock list, just depends on what your wanting and whats there.

I had a chance to look them over at ATAR (West Virginia) this year.  Agree with "Bjorn", the workmanship is top shelf.

Bob is one of the best bowyers to deal with IMO.  Some people might not understand what running a business is really like, whether you like it or not Bob is a straight shooter.  No pun intended.  He makes some of the smoothest, fastest, and puuuurdy bows available.  Love them morrisons.

Davt

They are very nice bows, finish work is the equal to any. Not as massive a riser as some, very nimble.

Dirtybird, you are right. Some people have NO clue. Own my own business for 24 years.

Friend

Do your best to try before you buy. A great bow is of little use to you if you two don't agree.

If i could afford a new bow right now Morrison is the one I'd buy...........a takedown recurve with copperhead backed limbs. They are about the sharpest looking bows out their in my opinion. Never shot one but have heard nothing but good things.

BowMIke

I have four Morrison Shawnee longbows and several extra sets of limbs. They are my favorites for sure. Beautiful, quick and quiet. Can't go wrong with a Morrison!

L. E. Carroll

Yes I agree... Bob's bows are "TOP of the Line" that's why I have 4 of em... just checked his in stock bows, and there are several Shawnee, Cheyenne and ILF risers available and enough limbs to make a "POOR BOY" cry  :wavey:

Man, would really "stink" to own Gene's riser eh?   :D
Talk about a chunk or archery history right there. I'd love to see where that riser has been and what it's been pointed at.

I have the ILF stuff, 3 risers and 5 sets of limbs all carbon foam. This stuff is very impressive and puts out performance. The risers are wood, I like to shoot off the shelf without any buttons. That way I can go back and forth between arrows and not have to adjust a button. I do a lot of experimenting. I give the best reference possible for Morrison Archery.
I had a second hand Dakota and sold it because it was too short for me. It is a great bow though, I'd like pick one up in 64" some day.
